Stitchopedia

Hi there and thanks for your interest in Stitchopedia.

I made Stitchopedia for my wife and her good friend as a utility to aid them in their knitting efforts. Since then the app has taken off and the interest in it has been far greater than I had anticipated. I am working on new features, such as adding images, and making it a universal app with iPad support. However, my mobile apps are definitely a side project that I do at night, after my two young children are asleep, and my available time is very tightly constrained. I would love to be able to devote 5x the amount of time that I do now to this work, but at this point in time I just can’t. In the meantime, I do appreciate everyone’s patience!

  1. I love this app! Just wondering if there’s a way to report errors if we find them. (For example: inc r and inc l have the same text; I believe inc l is incorrect). Thanks again for all your hard work, this was a good buy!

  2. Hi, I just bought the app and am glad to have it. I’m driving back home from Calif. to Florida and would like to choose a stitch for a project. I also have a moment in time where I forget a st. pattern & think this will help me all the time. I’ve been knitting for yrs. but I really need this as I have gotten to this state of mind.
    Thank you! God Bless Linda

    • Hi Linda

Thank you for letting me know that this app is helping you with your projects. This kind of feedback really makes all of the time and effort I’ve put into this worth it :)

Thanks again, and I hope you have a safe trip home.

  3. Are you still looking for help with the pictures or is that note on the App Store about an upgrade outdated? I’d love to help.

  4. Allyson, Cindy, Elisa, and Caitlin – I am very sorry about taking so long to get back to you! I will be emailing you patterns to you at the email addresses you left here :)

    Thanks!

  5. Hi, I’d be happy to knit swatches for you too. Especially challenging stitch patterns. I’m one of those rare knitters who loves swatching, and since I always wash and block my swatches, your customers will get an accurate idea of the pattern.

  6. Hello, I would love to make the 5 swatches to receive the free app. I saw that you offered this in the App Store, but I couldn’t figure out how to contact you to say that I would love to do it. So, here I am!

  7. I am looking forward to the new update, is there any specific swatches you are looking for or do you want us to choose? I would love to help. =).

  8. I am an excellent knit and would be only too happy to knit some swatches in exchange for the new and updated version of your stitchionary app…

    • Hi Terri! Great, I would love the help. One thing though, the next update is totally free :) I can definitely give you a promo code for one of your friends though.

One thing though, the email address I have for you doesn’t seem to work. Could you please email me at ben.rimbey@gmail.com?

      Thanks!

  9. I am willing to work up 5 swatches for a free stichapedia.
My niece is also. Once we get set up I can pass the info along. There are 5 knitters in our family so we REALLY are interested.
    Thanks!
(This is a duplicate posting as I accidentally posted after a Mar 2012 post).
